Flexible Porous Pavements

Rubberway is a flexible, porous rubber paving system that utilizes recycled tires. As the next generation in sustainable surfacing, Rubberway overcomes numerous challenges experienced with traditional forms of paving systems and is an environmentally friendly alternative to concrete and asphalt. Rubberway not only provides valuable filtration and stormwater management, but is also a safe, non-slip, low maintenance surface. Rubberway is a low impact development technology that is eligible for numerous Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) credits and provides flexibility and customization in design.

Rubberway systems offer practical, distinctive, sustainable solutions that will beautify, protect, and preserve our cities for future generations.

Rubberway and United Sustainable Surfacing of America (USSA Inc) proudly work with an array of state, county, and city departments, federal commissions, and non-profit organizations to make any project a reality. Entities we have worked with include Public Works Departments, Parks and Recreation Departments, Conservation Commissions, Parks and Open Space Commissions, Regional Water Authorities, Federal Government Agencies such as the US Navy, The Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts of America, and many more.

Rubberway Systems Include

Rubberway Sidewalks

Rubberway Sidewalks are a flexible, pervious rubber sidewalk system which provides a modern, environmentally friendly solution to cracked sidewalks. This patented, two layer system is available in a variety of colors and can be customized for different design options. Rubberway pervious rubber sidewalks provide rapid, even drainage for stormwater management while allowing water, air, and nutrients to reach tree roots below ground, encouraging deep rooting, healthy urban trees.

Rubberway Treewells

Rubberway Treewells are uniquely designed for tree care as a porous, flexible, rubber tree surround. This patented, two layer system eliminates the need for tree removal and makes urban trees viable in more places. Rubberway Treewells allow water, air, and nutrients to penetrate through the surface, nourishing tree roots below ground, encouraging deep rooting, and reducing the risk of trip hazards and sidewalk cracking from root heave. Rubberway Treewells are a great choice for street beautification projects, urban greening projects, and more.

Rubberway Softwalk

Rubberway Softwalk is a flexible, porous, rubber trail system designed to offer pedestrians and joggers a low-impact, ergonomic, firm but resilient surface. Perfect for walking trails, jogging trails, and park trails, Rubberway Softwalk utilizes recycled tires to create an environmentally friendly facility for the entire community to enjoy. This patented, two layer system is non-slip in both wet and dry conditions and has been used to beautify parks, recreation centers, schools, public facilities, and more.

Rubberway Pervious Pavements

Rubberway Pervious Pavement is a flexible, porous, rubber pavement system and a sustainable, environmentally friendly alternative to asphalt pavement. Rubberway Pervious Pavement is a single layer, easy to install system made from 100% recycled tires and is resilient enough to provide a low slip, spike resistant, comfortable and safe surface, yet firm enough to be suitable for more high impact use and light vehicular traffic. Rubberway Pervious Pavement is exceptional for trails, pathways, walking and jogging trails, training tracks, nature walks, and even driveways and parking areas. Rubberway Pervious Pavements are highly porous, allowing for rapid, even drainage for stormwater management.

Custom Multi-Purpose Solutions

Rubberway Multi-Purpose can be customized to fit endless applications. Anywhere a resilient, attractive, good traction, durable, safe, environmentally friendly surface is needed, Rubberway Multi-Purpose is the answer. Rubberwa Multi-Purpose has been used on rooftops, in gyms, hotels, around pools, and more.
