Tire-Derived Product (TDP) Grant Cycle 2015/16 Announced

Notice Of Funds Available: Tire-Derived Product Grant (FY 2015-16)

It is the time of year again when Tire Derived Product (TDP) grant funding has become available in California. Our Pervious Pavement system qualifies under the stipulations for eligibility, based upon the use of certified, California derived passenger tires. Only the tire derived portion is covered as part of the award of funding. Sub base preparations, installation, and the binding agent are not included as part of the funding.

For additional funding, the California Department of Parks and Recreation Recreational Trails Program (RTP), Due September 14, 2015, may be a consideration to fund other aspects of your project.

Summary

The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) administers a program to provide opportunities to divert tires from landfill disposal, prevent illegal tire dumping, and promote markets for recycled-content products. The Tire-Derived Product Grant (TDP) Program is a reimbursement grant designed to use TDPs for repurposing projects such as pathways, landscaping, mats, playground surfacing, curb stops, and ramps.
