Rubber Rooftop Surfacing

Rubber Rooftop Surfacing

Rubberway® Multi-Purpose rubber surfacing system is becoming increasingly popular for rooftops, decks, patios, courtyards, and balconies.

Previously unused rooftop spaces can be converted into a beautiful recreation area, something especially valuable in dense urban areas with limited space available.

Rooftop Rubber Floors & Jogging Paths

Rubberway is often installed on hotel and other high rise rooftops to create safe, non-slip rubber floors that also provide sound dampening to the rooms below. Light colored rubber surfacing on rooftops can also be used to create cool roofs that combat the urban heat island effect and earn LEED credits by reflecting the sun's rays and keeping the building and surroundings cooler.

Rubberway has also been installed as rooftop jogging paths to create a safe, comfortable space for exercise.

The Rubberway rubber surfacing system for rooftops when installed at a 1/4:12 test slope, has met the requirements of Class A Spread of Flame modes only for noncombustible roof deck criteria per ASTM E 108-17 when tested and evaluated to the requirements outlined in ASTM E 108-17- UL 790.

Rubber Floors on Balconies and Patios

Rubberway has also been installed as rubber balcony and patio flooring due to its non-slip and sound dampening properties. For outdoor hallways at hotels and residence halls at schools and universities, Rubberway can reduce the noise from rolling suitcases to eliminate noise disturbance to neighbors and guests.
